Sometimes I compare things
Like - should people, believers
Be jumping up and down, enjoying themselves
In church services?
Though it\'s not for their own pleasure
But in worship of God
Yes - it can be right for the time
A \'Service of Worship\'
Means people are going to worship
In their various ways of expressions
I\'m not a fan of \'happy clappy\' much
But they will surely restrain it in some way
As the country is in mourning now
For our dear Departed Queen
But I wouldn\'t be surprised
If they slipped in an appeal for their building funds
They never stop!
And there are other things like that
When people are \'enjoying themselves\'
When it may seem inappropriate......
Not that we should cancel trips, leisure
Or holidays to friends or other places, etc
But I was taken aback at one church
A sort of informal funeral
More a Thanksgiving Service
But they seem to bumble through it
One \'remembrance\' for a departed person
There is the joy of the Christian resurrection hope
But they seemed too casual
As if to say
\'Well, he\'s popped his clogs now
He was old anyway - tatty bye!\'
The remembrance was a 45 minute \'drop in\'
To see memories of his Scrap Book, photos, etc
A bit of a disgusting tribute
I thought - \'Is that all?\'
Poor \'H\' - he deserved more than that
But I told you before
They hardly know what a hymn book is
It\'s endless \'Choruses\'
And two or three weeks repeats - like the BBC!
Yet life goes on
Everyday things, and so on.....
