I can\'t decide what pain is worse.
Not being able to have you in my life at all,
Or settling to be your friend when I\'m in love with you.
The thought of being your friend is enticing,
because then I still get a piece of you.
But that sliver of you can also be the downfall of myself.
How can I live this life without you?
I can\'t win either way.
You probably don\'t even think twice about these things.
So I guess I will continue to hold you close in fear of losing you completely,
In hopes that one day maybe things will work out between us.
