Poetic Dan

Just to be alive

You carry a great weight of emotional responsibility, even in the shadows where no one else sees.

Way before that very first breath, you was taking it all in of what you could expect. To then be dropped in an ocean of loves and regrets, cut off from the umbilical safety net

From under our wings you slowly grow as we guide through the needs and wants, to hold you when it gets to much but give you space to find what works

Pulling out our feathers to begin a new with you, was never a job but an honour to do. In the reflection of our eyes was a billion smile, each the teacher and student under the endless sky

Remembering how good it feels just to be alive.
