I can close my eyes right now
and I can clearly see.
It was way back in the early 90\'s
and the best gift was given to me.
That\'s when I first found out
I was carrying a precious little girl,
So many emotions ran through me
my first baby,
I was so nervous, I do recount.
The moment that I saw her
she was so beautiful and small,
I remember I said \' I Love You\'
in a quiet soft whisper.
She became my reason to live
she was always my main focus,
I still believe now
she is an angel in disguise.
Throughout her 30 years
she has taught me,
What true love really is
I have wiped hers, she has wiped mine
each others endless tears.
She has grown into a gorgeous smart woman
despite what she has had to go through,
I am so proud..
And my mistakes as a mother,
she has gracefully forgiven.
She is my only love, my best friend
my ride or die
We will hold hands until the very end.
So I will say...
the day that I found out
I was pregnant with my daughter,
is my very best memory of all
Every step and emotion,
I can clearly recall.
