The ghost had no home
Or people of its own
It blindly sojourned the Earth
Not knowing for what it searched
A seeker, it had always sought
A mourner, for it had all been for nought
Haunted by long dead dreams
Old wounds bursting from their seems
It remembers little of life
But recalls many sights:
The Sea, dark and endless
Of Love, cruel and senseless
Alone, abandoned too soon
Panic, not knowing what to do
Apathy, doing nothing at all
Disgust, the last sight it saw
(“Like a dog! Like a dog!”)
