Crimson Rains Down.

Up above,
a beautiful starscape.
Such vivid hues cloud my retinas.
This blackened blanket reaching far,
covering the landscape.
I reach up to a star,
prettier than the rest.
It\'s easy to crave a taste of this light.
Shining just a bit too bright.
If I took some, would it mind?
I could indulge myself just a bit.
Tipping my hand, I grasp some light.
electricity runs up my wrist.
Its magnificence falters,
have I taken too much?
No, no, no...
I did it again.
This poor star withered away,
no longer a brilliant glitter.
Not a feeling of emanating heat.
blunt and tepid.
This light isn\'t mine,
but I can\'t give it back.
I store it away for later use.
