I spy with my little eye
a beautiful little butterfly.
It flies up high into the night,
fearless and without a fright.
I cry out a plea
despite knowing I will never flee.
I am burdened by a societal crown,
one I can never take off or put down.
I really do want to escape
but all I can care about is my shape.
I thought it was a beautiful butterfly,
but it turns out all that me ED promised was a lie.
