Morning Glory

she has been known to pleasantly please
and her long claws can be razor sharp
her warm kiss is measured in degrees
reaches like strings on an angel’s harp

aimless drift on a sea of stained glass
winds blow so softly in the balance
rich colours promenade en masse
enshadowed like some giant valance

vibrancy of life born by delight
magic spoken like a lantern’s glow
moonlight has fled in celestial fright
while golden rays dance row upon row

the snapdragons swirl in pirouettes
as wondrous eyes watch with simple glee
green leaves sit smartly like epaulets
laughter sings like a soliloquy

soft mist now pulls it all together
serene is the mirror’s reflection
the scene exists light as a feather
and waltzes in close with perfection
