What Do I Do? 04/18/2018
I don’t prepare for natural disasters
For fear that I might beckon them
I don’t plan for my trips
For fear that I might cancel them
I don’t lock the door
For fear I might miss someone knocking
I don’t close my eyes to sleep
For fear that I might miss the fare moonlight (Or the fiddler on the roof)
I don’t wait for the moment to come
For fear that it won’t happen
I don’t hold back
For I want to seize every gift from letting go
I don’t turn off the lights
For fear a fellow vagabond might need a guide through the night
I don’t closet love
For it was never meant to be stored
All these things I don’t do,
Make up the things I do
If what I don’t do creates the things I do, am I a paradox?
