Isabella, a name I was given to exist.
Yet this name has never seemed to stick,
I’m only called this by strangers or those supposedly above me
So why when the words escape does the translation seem fuzzy?
Bella, I go by, is what I usually say
A nickname claimed since my very first day
Maybe that’s the reason I grew up this way
Not even my own name
could
seem to stay
Maybe in the next decade I’ll escape
Or maybe Bella has sealed its fate
I wonder what Isabella would create
