Saxon Crow

Leaf(p) of faith

The stubborn leaf refused to fall
Through wind and rain and howling storm
He clung to tree for his poor dear life
Not wishing to plummet to his demise
Then one day he looked around
And saw that he was all alone
And seeing below where his friends had gone
Weighed it up and then let go
And as he fell to the floor
He thought I\'m landing in a sea of bones
But wise old tree then said to him
Don\'t worry friend you\'ll be born again
So leaf put his faith in a greater cause
Believing that soon he would return
And just as sure as the sun does rise
Not long after leaf opened his eyes
A tiny bud upon a branch
Of a familiar home he had always known
Welcome back said tree his friend
And that\'s when leaf knew he would live again
And now every season when the world turns cold
Leaf is always first to let go
Because leaf has faith in how things are
And that fear never really gets you far.
