Isaiah Mejia

Who I Am

WHO I AM by Isaiah Mejia

I cry, yet I’m still smiling

I’m falling, but I’m still standing

I’m screaming, yet I’m silent

I’m bleeding, but I’m trying to heal

I’m dying, yet I’m living

When there is war, pain and misery,

I keep peace, pleasure, and hope.

And everytime there is a shatter,

I go back and find those lost, broken pieces

And put them back together

Once again

There is no point in chewing a bullet

Believe me, I’ve tired

There is no point is falling into hell itself

Believe me, I’ve tired

There is no point in cutting my lines

Believe me…

I’ve tried…

-------------------------------------------

I run and I run and I run

Yet, I’m still falling:

I always fall.

I dust off the dirt

I wipe my blood

I pick up the pieces that are broken in an infinite, constant loop

And I continue to run

I look into the mirror

And I see endless mistakes

I look into the mirror

And I see infinite scars

I look into the mirror

And I see a

I’m weak, yet I’m going and fighting till my last breath I’m scared, yet I keep the ever burning, warm, comforting flame going I’m broke, yet I am still piecing myself together again I’m trying, but I’m doing

I fight, yet I fall

I fall, but I fight

I find, yet I lose

I lose, but I find

I am human

I am Z

I am
