The man in the Savannah

Deep in the Savannah
There lives a man
Far from the village
Deep in unfamiliar land

There was a time
When he was a boy
He lived with his people
He lived with joy

He played with peers
Enjoyed his time
A free spirit
Of sound mind

As he started growing
His mother talked a lot
Scolding every moment
Punishing his own thought

At first he didn\'t realise
The effects it had on him
When father started hitting
When his Patience wore thin

\"It hurts me more than you\"
Is what they said
Tell me who was the one
Crying bruised and broken in the bed ?

The proud young boy
Shaken to his core
Couldn\'t endure this pain
He just couldn\'t anymore

Deep in the Savannah
There lived a man
Removed from himself
An empty vessel

A empty man
