Gift of the Sea

Mother Ocean, the beholder of emotions,

                                         of confusions,

                                         of delusions

                  the protector of the children,

                                           the adults and

                                            all the lovers.

Only one has seen the true sea, they say.

Only one has felt Her warmth,

                                Her colds,

                                Her tumults,

                                Her distress.

Yes, there\'s tumults and distress.

Even the most beautiful of roses,

they a have thorns

                and pains

            and tortures.

Mother Ocean, they all say, She gave a gift.

A gift as beautiful as Her,

a gift as sorrowful as Her.

Just like Her, the gift has changes,

                                     like the waves

                      their Mother shows us.

Just like Her, the gifts imperfect,

                       many tumults, flaws

                              and breakdowns.

Unlike Her, the gift is human,

maybe She is human too? For she has

                                            tumults, flaws

                                and breakdowns, too.

Sounds like she is human too.
