Daisy

By the park alley
grew a lonely daisy
had no one there
except for the feet
tramping right next to it.

Ah, if I were the wind
she thought sadly
I would fly above the people
above trees and clouds
I would explore the world around me
and put down roots
in the most beautiful of places.

If I were a stone
I would jump over puddles
I would splash water
prying mouths of dogs.
At the end I would jump into the
deepest possible water
and fall
fall endlessly
to discover the mystery of the deep.

And if I were the rain
I would leap over every leaf
I would flow down every road
I would travel into the unknown.
Until finally
I would fly to the sky
and become one
With the fluffy snow clouds.

By the park alley
A lonely daisy grew.
- Until the day
When little plump fingers
took her away
With laught
wove it into golden hair.
And they ran off in leaps
toward the warming sun.
