Madeleine Gauche

And I see horses

When all

what we do is a bit of talking

lightly we move

from topic to topic

we trot, and I

I see horses

black and shiny

proudly upright

kitted out in regalia

we say nothing much as

we have no fixed agenda

we raise a bit of this then that

like pieces of delicate chocolate

we break them off one by one

slowly savouring its taste

we go from here to there

nowhere of concern really

not aimlessly so though

forwards then back

slowly we go to and fro

gentle, and I

I see horses

and in these moments

I ask myself

what is it about

the horses I see

when looking at us?

and it comes to me

I know instantaneously

with a steadfast certainty

it\'s our style

proudly upright

as if kitted out in regalia

and it\'s as if I look at us

with new eyes

eyes that see horses

and I start wondering about

the proud upright horses

trotting as lightly as butterflies

I see them

from one flower to the other

and I inhale deeply

the fragrance hangs, it lingers

when all

what we do is a bit of talking

lightly moving

from topic to topic we trot, and I

I see horses

black and shiny

proudly upright

kitted out in reglalia, and I

I see our style

with eyes that see horses
