Mothers Magic Beans

Mothers magic beans
Keep them safe
Until tomorrow

Mother said

They will not grow for me
In the mountain soil

But keep them safe
And you will see
The fruits of your toil

I planted
Mother’s beans

In the spring

And they
Were
Life-giving

The stems
Grew fast
And they
Grew strong

The leaves
Like plates

And the pods
Were long

The stem
Like a
Golden stair

Reaching

Heaven knows
Where?

To a magic land
Up in the sky

Where we will go
Bye and bye

Starseeds
Where are
We come from?

Blown in
On a cosmic storm?

Starseeds
Where are
We from?

Blown in
On a storm?

Grandmother said

Roses grow well
By the sea

But the only words
I heard
Were in a dream

Someday
I will climb
That golden stair

And at the top
Will be
A garden there

The scent of rose
The sweet perfume

And an
Apple tree
In bloom

Beneath it
Two figures
In white

Their hair
Golden
In the sunlight

And there
We will
Meet we three

United in
Our trinity

Our light
Shines on

Mothers magic beans
Keep them safe
Until tomorrow

Mother said

They will not grow for me
In the mountain soil

But keep them safe
And you will see
The fruits of your toil.
