I\'ve watched the world go by
In this small corner
And I\'ve seen the lines appear on the faces of people I love
And the dirt thrown into the memories of those who once shaped me
And as I stare at the road my grandfather tirelessly taught me to cross
I wonder how a place I found so much happiness in
Could now cause me so much pain
And as I watch people going about their daily lives
I wonder if they too have a café like mine
Where they grew
Where time passed them so quickly they forgot to be thankful for the lessons they learned
And the people who taught them
And I wonder if sometimes they too just sit amongst the ruins
And wonder where time went
