RAPIDS OF SPRING

                                                                             Dedicated to my father

Clouds were painted with ink by the artist,
Blueberry sky - with an innate mighty talent.
Hiding the sun yolk on canvas, Wiz mostest
Let the heavy rain wash away winter pageant.

So that green cobalt emerged from the murk,
Grass on the lawns and strong swollen buds.
Cinnabar dark tints on the moss bumps lurk,
Flat strokes freed nature from soot & cruds.

During rich coloured fallout of this virtuoso,
Blossomed on canvas bright beautiful roses.
The master brought back mood with tiny dots,
Having diluted zinc white & lemon paint clots.

He joyously announced the rapids of spring,
Cadmium and carmine were added planless,
Prussian blue shade on landscape was flinged
And spread in a stream into corners of canvas.
