In the middle of the night (Lenore\'s view)

In the middle of the night

While she was dead asleep,

I\'ve gone out of the room

That the Deans highly forbid.

Tip-toe past the skims

Which don\'t even bat an eye,

I sneak past to the hallway

Right where the moon shines;

There, I see my glowing goddess..

Under a willow tree

With her lips so charming,

Drinking a cup of tea.
