Commonwealth Considerations

On seeing the annual Commonwealth Day Service on TV

It\'s always the second Monday in March in the UK

Vibrant and bright, many nationalities

King Charles III giving an address from the pulpit

In Westminster Abbey (UK)

A crowing moment (pun intended?)

Was the Recessional Hymn (last hymn)

And a procession out of church

With all the Commonwealth flags

To the hymn and tune

\'Crown Him with many crowns\'

Suitable for our Lord Jesus

The King of Kings and Lord of Lords

A sort of \'going-forth\' showed symbolically

Patriotism too, but not just that

The flags as banners

Of nations going out into the world

To share justice, peace, equality - love

A pipe dream? Or \'if only it were so.....\'?

And \'Give peace a chance\'

Let\'s hope so - and we can pray so.....
