MADIBA.

When I listen to the mountains, I hear…….

“He is one of us”.

From Mvezo to union building.

You are a giant among giants.

27 years of captivity could not imprison your mind.

Your mind is colour blind.

Your heart is made of gold.

You are an epitome of mankind.

You work and walk us into freedom.

Madiba, I salute you.

When I listen to the forest, I hear…….

“He is one of us”.

You are a hero among heroes.

You fought for freedom.

You fought against Genocide.

You fought for human rights.

You fought against tribal bondage.

You fought for nature.

You knocked out racism.

You are a real champion.

Madiba, I salute you.

When I listen to the wind, I hear…….

“He is one of us”.

You are the man among men.

Like the wind;

You whispered peace in every human’s ears.

Like the wind;

We heard your voice from Robbin Island.

Shouting for unity.

Crying for freedom.

Apartheid is dead.

Never again will there be inhumanity in humanity.

Madiba, I salute you.

When I listen to Africans, I hear…….

“He is one of us”.

You are a leader among leaders.

You shred colour of boundaries to pieces.

You gave birth to freedom.

Blacks and whites have equal rights.

Blacks and whites live in harmony.

Today, we can all fly like the birds.

Madiba, I salute you.

When I listen to the ocean, I hear…….

“He is one of us”.

You are a legend among legends.

It was impossible for our country to swim through the ocean without you.

With rocks and turbulent waves engulfing our ship;

Like a giant hammer driven into the soul of our nation;

In you, we found our David.

With invisible stones and catapult, you killed the giant.

In you, we found our Joshua.

You led us to this Promised Land.

At last the coast is safe and rainbow nation is born.

Madiba, I salute you.
