Life and Mask

Life is like a game,

We wear masks to portray ideals to pursue wealth and fame.

To survive, to thrive, to make our way,

We put on a façade, and hide what we don\'t want to say.

But what happens when the game we play,

Becomes a trap, and we don\'t see the way?

In this labyrinth of life, unable to tell left from right,

Wandering slowly away from light.

While pursuing warmth from light,

We adorned ourselves with nature\'s embrace, twining vines around our limbs and wrapped in their delicate grace.

Slowly losing ourselves in this role we portray,

A life of pretense, and a soul that\'s astray.
