Survival Machine.

You are simpler than you think,
a ray of sunlight or a long tireless walk in the night, can go farther than you\'d think,
not to ridicule your struggles or your fears, or assume I know more than it appears,
I know you\'re complicated, just as this world is;
I know how you\'re asked to confine yourself to a set of coordinates, to a manual of social appropriateness, to a life of repetitive work,
to narrow your vision and struggle to make ends meet, while your mind roams higher and your thoughts wander farther than this,
I know how the climate, wars, poverty, cruelty, politics and hunger worry you just as much as your next deadline or quest,
how you\'re tired of switching between the narrow life you inhabit and the grand scheme of things,
how you\'re unable to choose a side, for one is too confined and the other is out of reach,
But I tell you,
you are simpler than you think,
I don\'t promise you any of your worries will disappear,
I know your mind is a complex net of thoughts, memories, fears and dreams, but it once was a survival machine,
one that cherished the ray of sunlight and the rest expected at night,
use these shortcuts, chase the remnants of that life,
in a world that fails to make sense, steal the nonsensical joy and relief years of evolution promised,
And don\'t forget to switch off the world, temporarily at least.
