Ain\'t That Wierd

Someone said, be careful
Those people just want to play
They can\'t be offended
And they won\'t go away
Their vulgar choice of words
Was what we children feared
They all live in one big room
Now brother ain\'t that wierd

Pleasure and fun today
Can cost an arm and a leg
If they would only listen
They wouldn\'t need to beg
Some of them laughed
Some of them cheered
None of them wore socks
Now brother ain\'t that wierd

The teacher he got sick
He became a nervous wreck
Our preacher was somebody
That demanded our respect
We read the morning paper
Where our name in print was smeared
We had to think to breathe
Now brother ain\'t that wierd

My one and only friend
Took an expensive ocean trip
He was sort of slow
But never has been whipped
When we stood up to speak
The people impolitely jeered
We got lost in our home town
Now brother ain\'t that wierd
