After some eight days again
Disciples were gathered there then
In one room, with Thomas too
Then cam Jesus to them anew. Alleluia!
Doors were shut, but He appeared
Said, Peace to you, unto them neared
Said to Thomas, Reach here your
Finger, behold my hands\' wounds sure. Alleluia!
And put forth your hand and touch
My wounded side, and know this much
It is I, be not faithless
But believing, not comfortless. Alleluia!
Thomas said, My Lord, my God
You who on this earth have sure trod
You same one, though crucified
Were, now risen, though you had died. Alleluia!
Jesus said, Thomas, cause be
You have believed, for you see me
Blessed are they that have seen not
Yet have believed, happy their lot. Alleluia!
