These past several days, the shootings have weighed heavily on my mind when I go walking. I awoke this morning and all I can think about are the students who have chosen to \"Walk out\". If I could be there with them, whether it be in front of them, standing on the side, or behind them. I would say the following: \"Good...I am glad. Let them go! Do not get in their way just make a way for them. I have confidence in them to do what is right and they have more courage in their cellular compound makeup than any generation before them. They will not do what is popular or profitable between this side or that side but what is right amongst the people of this nation who are innocent law-abiding citizens. Let them keep on walking, don\'t get in their way, and don\'t stop them. Don\'t stop at the teacher\'s desk, the guidance counselor, or principal\'s office to ask a question... just keep on walking.
Don\'t stop at the edge of the school property; just keep on walking. Don\'t stop a block away; just keep on walking. Don\'t stop at the school district zone; just keep on walking.
Don\'t stop at a neighborhood, which is determined by culture, economics, language, race, or sexual identity... just keep on walking.
Don\'t stop at a place of burial to be reminded of what once was or could have been...just keep on walking.
Don\'t stop at a medical office to be examined for symptoms of headaches, gastritis, anxiety, severe to moderate depression, P.T.S.D. night terrors, and suicidal thoughts or intentions... just keep on walking.
Don\'t stop at a firearms store nor speak to another who has a firearm or to view the object which reminds you of the fear and pain... just keep on walking.
Don\'t stop for a law enforcement officer to converse about regentrification of neighborhoods, difference between urban and rural areas, blue and red states., or border security... just keep on walking.
Don\'t stop to speak with an active duty personal or veteran about the strength, security, and stability of this nation... just keep on walking.
Don\'t stop at a place of worship, even if it\'s a quaint or magnificent place to discuss \"why is this happening?\", too pray, and say this in God\'s hands and God\'s time... just keep on walking. Don\'t stop at Pennsylvania Avenue and think this is where the president strolls down when he or she is nominated... just keep on walking.
Don\'t stop outside the steps of this nation\'s capital building, where laws, rights. and agreements are made and given without your consent or understanding... just keep on walking.
Don\'t stop outside the gates of White House and think \" Wow...I wish I had this much security and protection to speak with advisors, leaders, make decisions, and inform the nation\"... just keep on walking.
Don\'t stop walking until you are in the oval office, look the nation dead in the eye, and don\'t say a word. For you\'re walking has done the talking\".
