The birth of a poem
Born from within
It comes to life
Upon the page to begin
When you’re called on
By the poem’s will
You’ll rush to your writer’s lair
And eagerly dip your quill
It may seem like a waterfall
That the words will flow
Then suddenly run dry
A struggle of words to show
But don’t give up
Have faith in your muse
Trust they’re hard at work
To turn the words loose
Even this poem here
Came to me in a flash
From a warm comfy bed
To my writer’s lair I’d dash
To put it down in words
While it pulls upon my pen
And when completed
I’ve answered the call of the poem
