Grandma

With Curly white hair and pearls round your neck, oh Grandma you’d always be there,

And with my hand on my heart and your print on paper, Grandma I’ll never not care.

With bible displayed, your picture beside, safe with a locket of hair,

your funeral service schedule I kept, oh Grandma I’ll never not care.

The home where you lived, the memories I have, how can this be seen as fair?

That now when I mention my Grandmother’s house, I’m only aware you’re not there.

Grandma I know that you’re watching, waiting for us, I know that you’ll Never not care,

I know that it may not be soon that we meet, but Grandma I wish I was there.

I’ll never forget you, I may now cry less, and this may make me feel I don’t care.

But nothing will hurt as when we lost you, Oh Grandma, how is this fair?

So I’ll smile when I see you, when you visit in dreams, and remember the Times you we’re here.

And when comes the day that we meet again, you can help me dry all of my tears.
