Emily Bradshaw

Minority of Love

My love has a smile that lights up the night,

Blue eyes like oceans I wish to drown in.

Her divine voice pulls me into the light,

But you shame our love, for it is a sin.

The feelings my soul bleeds aren’t my choice,

Judgment from your thoughts like they can read mine.

I will scream for you to accept my voice.

I beg to erase my title of “swine”.

What they don’t see is I am still human,

Who my heart loves is not my decision.

Earth is the garden we’re meant to bloom in,

The book of love is meant for revision.

Romance is a tale for grace and splendor,

Please don’t hate those who love the same gender.
