Man’s Indoctrinate

“Oh, father! Why hast thou cast me out?

I cannot bear the punishment set before me.”

“My dear lamb, tis not my desire,

For it is by the words of man; this, your damnation.

My words declare me merciful.

My words declare forgiveness.

My words declare love.”

“If so, spare me.

Oh, father, why hast thou changed?

Have your words expired?”

“My dear lamb, my words were wasteful.

I spoke, but man was deaf.

I moved, but man was blind.

I questioned, but man was mute.”

“Man spake of your punishments,

Your laws,

Your fearsomeness.

Man lived by law,

Not by love.”

“My dear lambs desire this?

I spake none of such.

I prayed eternal life,

Eternal paradise.

Man prayed for hell.”
