People think Depression is constant sadness/
Constant tears, a dark outlook on life/
Always thinking about or wanting to die.
When in actuality/
Depression can be a happiness that swells your heart for any good news, no matter how small/
It\'s laughing louder than thunder/
When your eyes sparkle, filled with stars/
It is being the comedian when others seem out of sorts/
Because you are all too aware of how it feels.
Depression is caring too much and too little/
It is feeling empty and full/
It is joy and sadness/
It is the battle between wanting to experience life to its fullest/
And being curious of Death.
Depression is a mixture of light and dark/
Wanting to be there for others but not yourself.
And yet, here you are/
You are here today/
Despite those darkening clouds above your head.
You\'ve found a way to dance in the rain/
To make music from the thunder/
And paintings from the lighting.
Depression/
It is beautifully tragic/
It is the ability to turn the light to dark/
And yet, the dark to light.
