Trapped in Misery

Once, in her childhood days, she was her own favorite,
With captivating smile and sparkling sight.
She had a heart full of love, for every living creature,
As time passed, our lil girl was accused of untrustworthy nature.

Her so-called friends bullied and taunted her,
Called her ugly, short, characterless, the cruel slur,
So she\'d smile, holding back tears, to hide her fears,
Each friend that came to her, would only bring, more tears.

Living in a world full of demons, she thought it was right to hide,
Despite her silence, rumors and lies multiplied.
Every day, the looks that people gave her, hurt deep inside,
She began to doubt her worth, abilities, even existence, and eventually, she died.

She found solace in dark empty rooms,
No ghost or demon could scare her as much as her insecurities and emotional glooms.
She stopped eating She stopped sleeping, and crying is now her new regime,
She cried herself to death and wished all this was a dream.

From being confident, disciplined, optimistic, and perfectionist to becoming afraid, ignorant, pessimistic, and defeatist, she buried her own self,
Now her lungs breathe, her heart beats, but her soul is dead by itself.
Years have passed, and with a lifeless soul that remains,
She talks and works with people, but her inner pain still persists.

For all her efforts to find joy, she\'s met with despair,
As life seems to be a puzzle that\'s too complicated to repair.
Fate seems to dictate her life, as if happiness is just a myth,
Every person or place seems to bring her pain, as if misery is a gift.

Agony is her constant companion, a fate owned to be drowned,
Rest in misery, dear soul, for you peace is the throne that would never own.
