Tenuous

Tenuous

We know not the hour nor the day,

the voice of wisdom does readily say.

Our allotted time be it short or long is tenuous,

but not without a sense of some purpose.

Our earthly pilgrimage is one of a transient nature,

for there is nothing that is permanent for sure.

Like a summer\'s breeze through the trees,

it comes and goes with only itself to please.

whilst here amidst joy, trial and sadness,

we should strive to do well and be a success.

To be loving, generous and forever kind,

before the day when we shall be resigned.

We may never see old age or die young,

with a life that remains unsung.

Whatever our destiny we can be assured,

that all will be well if we have loved and persevered.
