Pages upon pages float past me,
Words blurring into shapes and images,
I feel myself falling through the pages and words,
Landing harshly on the ground,
Characters, whom I know everything about, yet know nothing about me,
All strut past me, walking, meandering through the story set in stone,
Yet completely unaware of it, that their future has been decided, to live or die,
Swords and staffs, shining armour and expensive fabrics,
A magical world which everyone knows yet they don’t,
Words float in the air as the story progresses,
Fights and friends reunite once again, their faces full of hope and excitement for what is to come,
I cry in sorrow for what is to come, knowing the villains side, knowing their true intentions,
Characters fall to their knees in pain, weeping for the fact that they did not know,
Lovers fall and relationships shatter, more words spin and flutter around me,
Words of knowledge of the future, words of the past, all slamming together in a mess of the present,
Soon though characters go off on their ways, their futures becoming more mysterious as the amount of knowledge dwindles,
Promptly I’m left wondering what becomes of them, what their life now holds, a mystery for everyone not just them,
It’s terrifying, but it’s the end, it is what is set in stone, for no more stone lays ahead,
Just dirt, grass and flowers, a path but a shaky one,
I blink and the words stop spinning, they right themselves onto the page once more,
Worlds and people fade into memories, then nothing,
Loved and cherished however,
Everything has a ending.
