Winter kept us warm

Winter kept us warm
as the days got cold and colder
He held me in a warm embrace and pulled me closer
And the cool wind of July had nothing on us
wanting to get cozier , being bold was a must

The Stolen kisses as we held each other
made me melt like a rumor,
And with each kiss my toes curled
i wanted him like no other

The music kept us company
Dampened the unpleasant feelings
only time was our enemy
it was never enough
As it reached its peak he upped up the tempo
my brain turning to mush
And my blood raced from vein to vein

the desire to have him close distracted me day and night
Whenever he was not near
 I would only fantasize.
Having flashbacks from sunset to sunrise
I was drunk on memories, they drove me mad and wild
To make my mind sober was hard

It’s the way he looked at me
As though I was priceless, a rare treasure
leaving every nerve consumed with pleasure.
To have spring bless us with a breeze that pulled us closer
was extremely eventful

his  warm hands touched  my chilling heart
Which I had sworn to keep frozen
But he was different
And for a little while I felt free  , unbroken
My demons to break loose,  that was the healing power of his touch
Free of fear of the worst that could come
free to love the man I had found
