Raising the dead man named Lazarus,
One, nothing short of spectacular,
‘Cause the dead stay dead, miraculous,
Four days dead, drained of flow, vascular
Recovery, he now walks with us!
Logos begets the ‘triangular’
Yet raised Lazarus the particular,
To show all He is magnanimous.
Words, sung in choir, rise; heard, lift the heart,
The mind, the soul; the whole person revived.
This our response, this our meager part;
Start of ages, mouths of sages: lived,
Each his own, beyond nature, trade, or art;
The Proof of Salvation has arrived!
