Down by moultry creek,
where the gators creep beneath
the peaks of the reeds,
And the sun glints off of the
Water within,
so many pearls of the sea
You may find me sitting, free
amongst the bushes and the grass
Just trying to unwind from this
World which moves so fast
There\'s a little dam beyond
from a nearby man-made pond
stippled palm trees swaying,
wind picking up their fronds
This is my place of peace
From the war inside my head
The insanities, calamities
Which fill my mind with dread
And the Cardinals, they play
Flitting by just over head
Whenever I feel overwhelmed
I wish I was at the creek instead
