Come On

A kite at night? What kind of kite can a kid fly at night?

Overhead, a glow in the dark, kiwi-green screams a stream

that acts out as a stripe with it\'s own sight in flight.

Looking up is tough, pulling on a string, running fast enough,

just able to see it get tossed about, swirled, twirled, curled under itself,

it made a massive, cursive loop and then goes through the loop it left behind,

weaving a sparkling lime colored trail as if to hail, then a letter, then a word appears

to take on form, before long,\"Hello down there.\" is starring from above at me.

A crazy green message by an invisible hand, a delicate touch,

on a wide black night, a kite developed it\'s own life and continued to write,

wielding itself as a new knight, \"Are you all right, watch where you\'re going.\"

Crash, I guess, I ran into a tree, in a blink, I think it was a dream,

the sinking feeling that I made the whole thing up,

except for a lump on my head and this speaking kite,

now it insist on going up and out every night, kites.
