Marcellus

Understanding May yet Descent

In the depths of my poetic abyss,

Where shadows dance and emotions persist,

I crafted a verse, dark and profound,

A glimpse into a world where pain is found.

Your comment, a discordant note,

A melody unappreciated, I must denote,

Yet I pause to ponder, to understand,

The chasm between us, vast and grand.

You couldn\'t comprehend, so I confess,

The weight of my words, the depths of distress,

For they were born from a personal place,

A reflection of battles I silently face.

But fear not, dear reader, for time may unveil,

The secrets I wove, the stories I regale,

For poetry\'s essence is boundless, it\'s true,

Revealing its essence to only a chosen few.

In the tapestry of time, as seasons unfold,

Perhaps one day, my verses will take hold,

And in the future\'s embrace, you\'ll come to find,

A resonance with my words, an echo combined.

So tread lightly, dear friend, for poems are divine,

Their meanings obscured, elusive as a sign,

In due course, understanding may yet descend,

And my poem\'s depths, your heart may comprehend.
