Slaves to Technology

As days go by, we feel more lonely
Our hearts and souls, they ache so wholly
The world around us seems so gray
And we feel like we\'re losing our way.

We used to have friends to talk and play
But now we\'re lucky if we have one to stay
Technology has made us slaves
And our relationships have become shallow graves.

We are sitting in a crowd, staring at screens
And forgetting what it truly means
To laugh, to cry, to share in joy
To connect with someone and feel that ploy

Life is short and love is rare
We must break free from this despair
Put down our phones, and look around
Find love and friendship, they can be found.
