Michael Bandee
Depression The longest journey
Depression is a deep dark cloud
That follows you around
It mixes up your feelings
Once your lost you can\'t be found
Nothing ever seems quite normal
Or at least to me that how it seems
My life feels like its ruined
By constant weird and stupid dreams
And then there is a lack of sleep
No matter how hard you try
In the end it gets to you all you want to do is cry
You feel that the clouds move In
And gradually all the sunshine goes away
Every day gets darker No matter what you do or say
Suddenly your lifes not your own
Your lost in dark feelings with you all the time
You question in your mind if things ever again will be fine
Thunderstorms gather as the skies get ready to open up
Feelings of tiredness, hurt pain confusion like a volcano ready to erupt
You cry out for help yet your not weak
But you just can\'t take no more
It\'s like every step you take you hit a slamming door
How can things have got this bad
And how can you put it right
You have one hell of a mountain to climb
Ahead of you lies one hell of a fight
You know you need to seek some help
And do whatever your told to do
You now rely on professions
To fix what\'s wrong with you
The first step is always the hardest
But the one you need to take
Just trying to carry on won\'t work
It\'s just a huge mistake
Listen to what people who know tell you
Put all your trust in them
And with the love of people you hold close
You will get better It\'s not if but it is when
Your journey is a long one and may take longer than think
But in the end you\'ll stop drowning
They will never let you sink
So trust in others talk things through
How you truly feel
Open up never give in and you will start to heal
And when all the darkness has lifted
And you reach the other side
Just remember open up to others your true feelings never try to hide
You might never feel yourself again
A new you might not be so bad
You\'ve beaten your demons and made it through
The hardest journey you\'ve ever had.
