I look upon you at the dawn of day
Your sweet face softly resting on the pillow
Was a blessed man when you came across my way
When I sat alone there by the cafe window
And I know each day and night, when you are here
This world won’t ever, ever get me down
And I know each minute when we are apart
I will ache within the reaches of my heart
Sometimes when summer ends to start the fall
And the cold air comes round swishing at our door
We’ll watch a movie, night light switched off at the wall
we’ll huddle on the sofa, with our feet up off the floor
The next day when I wake and hear the morning train
Outside my window pink leaves scatter like Blossom Rain
And again I look upon you at the dawn of day
To see that sweet face resting softly on the pillow
