I wonder what would have happened
If Sarah Connor had been a Peruvian.
Would she have been too busy cooking,
Too occupied to run?
Would she have said:
“ay no mas, Señor Terminator”
“I’m cooking up a causa. I’m busy in the kitchen
“Could you come back later?”
Would the mother of the rebel force
Have just accepted her fate
When the man with a gun and a telephone book
Came to end the life she’d create?
Or would she be more like the film
And be a tough kick-ass
And not accept injustice and inequality
Not allow those things to pass?
I think I prefer the second
The one who makes things fairer
So I’ll strap on my boots and big girl pants
I’m going to be like Sarah.
I’ll ask what she would do
If she was molested on the bus
She’d nut that fella in the face
And turn the air blue with a cuss.
Now I’m not planning to be rude,
There’s no need for aggression
I’ll just say it like it is
Encourage others to use discretion.
Sarah wouldn’t accept disrespect
From randoms in the street
Or domestic violence in the house
Those bullies she would beat.
So I’m going to be like Sarah
To inspire others and maybe
to sexism and inequality we can say
“Hasta la vista, baby!”
