They say roses are red and violets are blue,
but then violets are more purple than they are blue.
Maybe violets are not as sad as they appear to be,
like the roses that are always radiant with glee.
You gift a rose to symbolize your love,
it’s genuine, it’s true, it’s pure like a dove.
Violets on the other hand are not as acknowledged,
I mean when was the last time someone was gifted a violet and still got applauded?
Roses wither after a living a good life,
doing it’s job making things right.
Violets don’t wither, they rot.
It seems roses are happy while violets are not.
From start to finish it ends in a circle,
Maybe violets are more blue than they are purple.
