It would hurt too much to admit aloud that I love you
So I resort to love poems and silent longing
Yet I still can\'t get over the pain this love has put me in
I can barely make it through a day,
Let alone a week, without crying or feeling the need to cry
Because of how overwhelming this heartbreak is
I say hello to you, and you reply with your own greeting
But the all-too-familiar pain wriggles its way out
I tried to lock it away in a dark corner of my brain
But it makes its way out nevertheless
