kirblo

quiet is quite violet

there is a clear indication of sadness

in this person’s heart, or more literally,

there is a clear lack of effort to move

the tiny parts of their face. which contributes to

a lack of expression which translates into

that clear, indication, of sadness.

but for some people it\'s not so clear,

and the lack of expression is simply,

misunderstood frankly,

as laziness.

all they think is

this person wants to not do.

and while that may be true,

there is another clear lack of effort

in order to understand what is behind

the original, and much more vivid,

lack of effort.

for even when effort is given,

it’s only, just, enough, for the message

to get through to the other side.

and so people walk away,

not wanting to deal with the potential

tangle of braids in this person’s spirit.

and so the silence provided

creates blooms of violet in this person’s tan canvas.

Although.

this person yearns for someone

to be brave enough,

caring enough,

patient enough,

understanding enough,

just enough, to say something more

than silence.

cause although these blooms of violet

bring about life and feeling,

an overgrown forest can eventually cause

the slow and gradual decay of

all plants involved.

this person knows this

and sees that their tan canvas is slowly

losing ground in this color war for life.

however, they say

“but the violet is beautiful

and maybe it wouldn’t be so bad for

it to be the last thing I see.”

and so we, we as the spectators see,

see that the color of silence,

something so muted and nonphysical,

is violet, bright and passionate.

so perhaps the color of a voice,

a voice of hope that would snag

at the tangles of this person’s brain,

is its opposite, which would be…

yellow.

so let us all speak with yellow words,

to pull away the jar of violet paint

from the hands of this person so clearly sad.

who maybe, in seeing a new color on the canvas,

will stay a bit longer to see

and appreciate

its artistry and beauty.

perhaps then, that person will spread

their beauty through the world.

and we will be inspired to take up

another color.

another other than violent.
