I could not tear up

destroy all the things
that made us look fools ..
And anyway,
who am I to question
the validity
of your new god,
the latest iPhone
and your
unwavering devotion ..
Tomorrow
is another day though
and in the meantime
I shall take
a back seat for a while
and enjoy
what is left of the view
in the golden
