Friends!
The world is indeed a lonely place,
For many a rat race,
To survive and access,
Fame, fortune and brace,
For all the consequences which regress,
Our humaneness ,
Our relationship harness,
Our spiritual space!
But with amazing friends in place,
Our worldly journey takes place,
In a wondrous space!
Their soothing grace,
To savour their grateful presence!
Their compassion,
Their company, full of passion,
The animated conversations,
Friendly or ferocious!
Hurts forgiven,
Wounds healed and forgotten!
FRIENDS, a veritable God’s gift,
To us lost souls so much adrift,
In life’s travails, turbulent,
Sometimes violent!
We cherish gratefully,
All our friends far and near thankfully!
And journey on hopefully,
Courageously,
With them beside us happily,
Both in times needy,
And times happy,
To mourn and celebrate faithfully,
And make our entangled lives journey ,
Proceed steadfastly,
Friends, we salute your presence gratefully, graciously!
