Your Beautiful Slumber

How it is to watch you sleep,
To breathe upon your somnolent eyes,
and drool over the restful demeanour of your lips.
Your lips purse so magnetically together.
You sleep with a peace so true;
I have not seen a peace like it.
Butterflies can’t help but flutter.
I caress your face,
Your touch is what I long for,
to be felt by you.
Only you.
Beautiful you.
Your caress is like a million sun kisses upon my skin.
I truly love your every being.
For I watch on,
your simple face resting in the moon’s gleam.
My heart beats against yours,
Breathing so delicately,
As I lay here,
captured by your beautiful slumber;
where your eyelids lounge effortlessly.
Through your skin,
I inhale desire,
So I can’t help but thrust all my love upon you,
I kiss you awake and your eyes open,
to reveal the lightest blue,
looking at me so lovingly I melt
away in a sea of eternal pleasure.
